I appreciate the suggestion. It's through the lives of Tiger, Brad Pitt, Mick Jagger, Gene Simmons, Paul Newman, Ronald Regan, that helps to ME gain understanding that I lack.

I appreciate the clarification.

I was thinking more of the discussions of his deservedness of being awarded the best athlete over the last 10 years by the AP. This is in addition to the discussions of kicking him out as corporate spokesperson. My understanding is this is how most pros attain their great wealth from the great achievements of their profession.

Knight: Your last comment is pretty much exactly why I avoid these stories and move on... We know absolutely NOTHING about Tiger and his situation, his life, his personality, his emotional make-up, his relationship history, his wife's personality and emotional disposition, their marital expectations, his family history, etc., etc., etc.

All we know is what's printed in magazines and tabloids here and there -- which really isn't much -- and most of which is probably either false or a caricature of how he really is.

At the end of the day, we don't REALLY know anything about him, as much as we'd like to think we do. So I think to make any strong judgments is out of line. It's really easy to point a finger at him... but what the hell is the point? Statistically speaking, literally MILLIONS of Americans cheat on their spouses each year... it is what it is.

I think this is why stories like this strike a nerve in people... we have these "fantasy" versions of celebrities and athletes built up in our heads by popular culture, but every now and then, reality hits and we realize we have no clue... and it pisses us off.

Does the topic of emotional transparency and setting relationship expectations deserve to be talked about? Does cheating? Absolutely. I talk about all that stuff quite a bit on this blog.

But does TIGER warrant discussion? My suggestion is to focus your energy and emotion on something you actually understand...

I have very little respect for Tiger as an overall human being. It disgusts me that he apparently lacks, as apparently many men AND women do, any understanding of the kind of extent, or intensity, of trauma that the deceptive behavior, of all involved, do to the victim's identity and confidence in themselves as a sexual AND individual beings.
I am even more disgusted , AND baffled, that HE was not more decisive about initiating the break up of his marriage in a more conscious, less damaging way. CAUTION: I am going to speculate: It seems to me that when Tiger realized his gorgeous-sexy wife - and mother of his children, could not keep up with his sex drive, THAT would of been the best time FOR HIM to open discussion(S) about the commitment they made, that SHE had an understanding of, so SHE had input into his making a decision of staying or going. I think his being less discrete over time, was his (may be many other's) way of having HIS WIFE pull the trigger to initiate the divorce.
This is in contrast to Brad Pitt for his being decisive in leaving one wife for another. It was far from perfect, and had some flaws, still has its drama, but certainly seems more acceptable then the way Tiger went/ is going about his.

So, how does this relate to PU? and, or, being a PUA?
DECEPTION and Decisive Decision Making
Does THIS topic deserve any discussion in the PU community?
IF SO, At what point in PUA training, AND does it deserve nay sort of time as a continuing education topic within the PU Community.
How much time and attention is to be given to including discussions of trauma that deceptive behavior, of all involved, do to the victim's identity and confidence in themselves as a sexual AND individual beings.

There's a difference, Knight, in saying that his wife should divorce him and that the PGA should kick him off the tour. That's the difference between this and Clinton. I don't think anyone is saying he should be banned from golf for this.

So Angela, I am interested in understanding how much respect you have for:

1. All the women who/that, threw/throw their panties at him ?
2. All the women that did not look at his finger for a wedding band ?
3. All the women that knew, should know/find out his martial status, AND had sex with him any way ??

From a woman's view, what does a persons moral character/integrity got to do with their winning awards for their great achievement and, or, performance in their profession ?

10 years ago when Pres. Bill Clinton was doing Monica ( I admire her for attaining her goal through making a connection with the then Pres.) I asked 4 woman if he should resign. 3 said "it is his personal life, what does that have to do with him being President ?" One said he should of resigned.
Last night Andrea Tantaros, a talking head on a news panel, opinionated that Athletic awards should include a persons moral behavior AWAY from the game ???? How is a man to understand that response ??

He broke a vow to his wife ~ they weren't in an open relationship. I have no respect for him right now.

It's a pretty sad thing that most people would be more surprised that a young man, as successful as he is, would actually stay faithful to his wife. Not pretty sad - very sad.

It's cheating if telling her that broke a commitment he made prior -- i.e., a commitment he made to her not cheat on her.

Judging by the golf club through his car window, I'm going to guess he broke that commitment.

Being non-monogamous is only moral if you're honest and open about it BEFORE you do it.

In case you have not noticed David _ _ _ We have let Tiger and his wife decide(d). Nothing in the above discusses that.

IN AMERICA, we still have the freedom(s) to voice opinions and make judgments. Like to me, OJ is guilty of murder. OUR government is NOT allowed to have that view. In the view of the government, OJ did NOT murder anybody.

Apparently you and I agree that the issue of Tiger's Integrity is the issue AND apparently you and I have judged ( . . . "We don’t know the real story . . ") , or is it, have similar Opinion(s), about his Integrity.

David, suppose, just suppose, hypothetically, Tiger told his wife that he was going to go and have more sex with each woman that threw her panties at him, AS he needed, or wanted, more sex, OR sexual variety. Is that then cheating ???? or is that integrity ? ?
