Random Observation
Speaking of hanging with old college friends, I’ve noticed a weird trend. An alarming number of girls I hooked up with in college have de-friended me on Facebook in the last year or so. And these weren’t stupid ONS’s either, these were like long-term FB’s and MLTR’s.
Which brings me to another question… why would you ever de-friend someone on Facebook? I understand people lose touch and many people on there weren’t ever really friends to begin with, but you met every single one at some point. I have tons of people friended who I don’t even remember who they are or how I know them. But I don’t de-friend them. There’s no point. That takes too much thought and effort.

It doesn’t sound like this applies in your situation, but I de-friend people if I don’t care about them any more AND they tend to have a lot of updates that clutter up my home page.

Cool, an objectivist? Is your blog closed or something?

Ever think it may be a last ditch effort to get you to notice them again?

i’ve defriended random community guys or people who were full of drama.
other than that, the one girl who made it a point to defriend me was sooo into me before i lost interest in her it was fucking ridicilous. 2 mo after i lost interest in her replied to a 2 month old email from me out of the blue and claimed she’d “met the love of her life and i shouldn’t try to contact her.” totally transparent. anyway sounds like a similar situation; she’s trying to put her past behind her – or get attention in the process.
girls are weirdos.

Think of it as symbolic in nature. They probably got a new, serious boyfriend and wanted to feel like they were cleaning their slate by defriending you.
